Penttinen Birds

Clean lines and bold colours are very much the starting-points for Anu Penttinen in her work as a glass designer. Penttinen has christened her glass birds from the Iittala Birds range as “Cartoon Chicks” highlighting their playful, cartoon-like qualities, which she says wee inspired by clay animation and world of the tropics. Iittala was a natural choice for her, as she works in her own studio in Nuutajarvi, down the road from the company’s glassworks.
