Aynsley China
-
Aynsley China Tableware is made to be used and enjoyed. Make it part of your everyday life. Don’t “save” it for special occasions. With ordinary care, you can expect a lifetime of pleasure from your tableware. Here are some helpful suggestions.
-
Aynsley China suggest as a matter of hygiene you wash your new purchase of tableware before first use in a mild solution of liquid detergent.
-
Never place china in contact with the direct flame or subject it to extreme temperature changes.
-
Do not use Aynsley bone china in a conventional oven, under a grill or on a hob.
-
Harsh heavy-duty detergents. Scouring powders and steel wool pads are abrasive and should never be used on Aynsley China dinnerware.
-
When washing Aynsley China in the dishwasher please use a recommended mild liquid detergent. Load china securely on racks so that the pieces do not touch and so they won’t be dislodged by water action. Also ensure that metal objects (pots, pans and utensils) do not come in contact with the china. Use a mild wash cycle and let pieces cool before removing.
-
In hard water areas, deposits may form on your Aynsley China tableware in time if the water is allowed to dry on the ware. These soluble deposits can easily be removed with dilute acid such as vinegar.
-
Aynsley China Serving pieces should be at room temperature before putting hot foods on them.
-
When stacking Aynsley China for storage, put a cushion between each piece to prevent the surface from being scratched by the piece above it. Keep in an area with sufficient storage space so that the pieces don’t touch shelves or pieces.
-
Hang your Aynsley China cups separately or stack them two by two.
Aynsley China (Platinum, Gold)
-
Never place gold or platinum-banded Aynsley China in a Microwave or Dishwasher.
-
Tarnish (discolouration) of banding can be used in many ways: hard water with a high iron and or/manganese content. Rust in interior plumbing or dishwasher parts or contact with chemicals or chemical fumes in the environment. To remove discoloration of gilding:
-
Rub gently with non-abrasive cleanser. This should easily remove surface spots in a few seconds. Excessive rubbing is unnecessary and may cause damage.
-
Rinse your Aynsley China Thoroughly.
Metal Marks
-
Occasionally, Dark Streaks may be found on the surface of your china from contact with kitchen utensils, aluminium foil trays or other metal objects. Apply a small amount of a gentle, non-abrasive cleanser using a soft wet cloth or sponge.
Stains from Coffee, Tea etc.
-
Stains can result from allowing coffee, tea or certain foods to stand on china. If possible, rinse promptly after use. Should stains develop Aynsley China recommend the following:
-
Apply a non-abrasive cleanser with a sponge or cloth, rubbing gently.
-
Or, make a solution of 1 part chlorine bleach to 8 parts water. Allow stained pieces to soak in the solution for approximately one hour, and then wash your Aynsley China rinse and dry.
