
Rosenthal began in1879 when Philip Rosenthal established a porcelain painting company at cast Schloss Erkersreuth in Germany. In 1891 Rosenthal began producing its own porcelain, and its first complete dinner service was released that same year. As well as tableware, Rosenthal has also produced several successful figurine collections, including the ‘Eros’ collection by Richard Aigner in 1911 and, in 1931 produced six Mickey Mouse figurines under license from Walt Disney. In 2202, Rosenthal produced the ‘Andy Worhol Collection’ with artwork from the world renowned artist featured on various Rosenthal products. Rosenthal have now been producing quality porcelain for over 100 years, and there modern tableware lines include the popular ‘Free Spirit’ and ‘Moon White’ collections.
