Royal Brierley was established in the early 17th century when exiled Huguenot craftsmen settled around Stourbridge in the West Midlands, attracted by the abundant fuel and fireclay to be found there. Royal Brierley rapidly made the region famous for its crystal glass. Over the years, Royal Brierley has attracted some of the finest craftsmen and creative artists and their skill and the beauty of the crystal they create has made Royal Brierley one of the most respected crystal glass makers in the world. Royal Brierley was known as Steven & Williams until the 1930’s, when they received a Royal Warrant from King George V, and then became Royal Brierley to signify its appointment as Royal British Glassmakers. Today, Royal Brierley makes some of the world’s most beautiful crystal glassware including the popular Berkeley and Mayfair collections. Royal Brierley also now manufactures giftware collections that include stunning glass vases and bowls.
